Event Details

Coyotes, beavers, and monarchs, oh my! Join SVBC as we pedal our way from the Sunnyvale Caltrain Station to Ulistac Natural Area!

About this event

Nestled along the banks of the Guadalupe, hidden amongst housing, lies 40 acres of seemingly pristine nature. Like much of the Bay Area, it’s seen a lot of change over the last several decades, but Ulistac can sometimes feel like land that time forgot. It’s home to an astonishingly diverse ecosystem and we are so excited to share it with you.

With support from Santa Clara County Open Space Authority, we’re putting together a ride where all are welcome to meet new friends, pedal some miles, and learn about the incredible history of Ulistac Natural Area. A volunteer from Ulistac will join us to share information about the history of the land and the work that has gone into preserving this urban slice of nature.

We’ll gather at the Sunnyvale Caltrain station starting at 9:30, and depart at 10. Expect 13-16 miles of surface streets, bike lanes, and groomed trails. E-bikes, tandems, trikes, and trailers are all welcome!

Interested in volunteering to help make this ride happen? When you get your ticket, register as a Volunteer Ride Leader to wear a vest, ride as a middle support or a sweep, and be trained in Ride Leadership. Volunteer Ride Leaders are expected to arrive no later than 9:30 AM.
