NEW Requirements!

The City of San José is requiring all volunteers to provide proof of vaccination/booster in order to volunteer at City sponsored events. On the day of the volunteer event please be ready to present to staff:

Your vaccination card, picture of your vaccination card or your State of California QR code/digital card in-person AND government issued ID or student ID.

**This requirement applies to volunteers who are currently eligible to obtain the COVID-19 vaccine.**

 

If you prefer not to share your vaccination status, we encourage you to delay your participation in volunteer events and return when you are comfortable in providing the required information or until guidelines change.

Join the Nikkei Matsuri Organization and the City of San Jose in an Adopt-A-Park event for a day of weeding, pruning and general cleanup! Enjoy the beauty and tranquility while giving back to this special San Jose landmark.

No experience is necessary! All tools and instruction will be provided. Please bring a filled water bottle, snacks and wear closed toe shoes. Dress for the weather!

Event continues, Rain or Shine!

Important-All COVID-19 protocols will be followed for now. Please wear appropriate face coverings and stay home if you are sick. A health screening is required before entry.

We will meet at the JFG main gate entrance on Senter Road. Please note that parking fees are now being charged! Parking passes for this event are available at the registration table-1300 Senter Rd.

Registration is at 8:45 AM, event begins at 9:00 AM and ends at 12:00 PM.

Please download the Volunteer Service Agreement and bring the form with you to the event. Please note-All persons under 17 must have a Parent Signature.
