Event Details

We as family caregivers go through a wide range of emotions when working with our loved ones. Beyond this the physical aspect of caregiving adds stress. By trusting our personal strengths and writing down challenges and our approach to solving them we can recognize patterns and generate solutions faster. Interactive workshop with discussions on guiding family caregivers on clarifying paths to end goals, selecting and staying on paths, and ensuring quality caregiving. It’s helpful to know and use our best personal qualities.

This will be an interactive workshop.

First, workshop participants will introduce themselves by sharing a short story about themselves. Stories can fill in the forgotten moments of our lives. These moments in our lives can expand the meaning of our lives by being critical and essential to the story we tell ourselves about our lives.

Then, workshop participants will share their first impressions of their results from the “Values In Action” (VIA) Survey of Character Strengths. Please take this free, scientific survey on character strengths before the class: https://www.viacharacter.org/survey/account/register?registerPageType=popup.
